The Oyster Bay Sail and Power Squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadron®:
the largest boating organization
in the United States of America.
As a non-profit educational boating organization, who has been teaching safe boating in our community for over 45 years. With over 110 members in our squadron, we enjoy both power and sail boating activities and we are dedicated to promoting SAFE BOATING THROUGH EDUCATION encouraging all to join us and learn about boating from those who know.

NY State Law says:
Effect 01-01-2020 - All power boaters born on or after January 1st, 1993
must have a Safe Boating Certification.
Also, by 2025 all power boaters must complete a Safe Boating Course.

When State officials lift the ban on "gatherings" and our teaching facilities are once again open, we'll be ready to continue our Classroom and Social Activities.
Waiting can be difficult! So, our Club has developed a NEW On-Line networking system, so you can take our America's Boating Course, with a live instructor, from your HOME.
This HOME Classroom will enable you to take the NY State required 8 hour classroom course from your home location. You'll have everything at your fingertips: Computer, Book, Live Instructor and an outstanding assembly of important boat safety information.

District 3 is a local unit of USPS that extends from Brooklyn to Montauk with 14 active squadrons and 1400 members all ready to help you learn more about safe boating.
Our Vessel Safety Team, volunteers, will help you learn about how to keep your boat safe. Exam are FREE. Just chick below to make an appointment.
